A legitimate option that has not been used much since the move to vernacular in 1970. I will use this option as an extra precaution to avoid any airborne water particles. Please note, this was the direction of prayer for Roman Catholics for 1,970 years.

Sometimes changes to the published Mass schedule are known in advance... sometimes they are not. The weekly bulletin is published on Friday afternoons - the weekly Mass schedule is published both in the bulletin and on the HOME page of the parish website. There are times that things change after the bulletin is published - or advance notice is given. The parish office is open Wednesday to Friday; NOT Monday or Tuesday. IF you would like to be notified of changes to the Mass schedule (when possible - this is not guaranteed!) then please SEND AN EMAIL to the parish office at olgcdr@gmail.com and ask to be put on the 'mailing list' for "Notifications". Thank you.
The draft copy of minutes from November's Parish Council meeting are now available on the parish website under the MINISTRIES>PASTORAL & FINANCIAL COUNCILS tab.
Starting January 12th, confessions will be heard every Tuesday in the parish hall beginning at 5:30 PM until there is no one else waiting. You must wait in the church. No more than 10 people may be waiting in the church at one time.
The CWL have put together a not-too-shabby wall calendar, featuring outdoor scenes from the area, with a short scriptural quote. The major feasts of Mary, and the Church are highlighted in the date section. The Calendar is 17” long, and 11” wide, coil bound in the middle. The cost is $20.00. We are hoping this will replace the moneys we can’t make this year with our fall raffle. All the proceeds will go to local charities. These calendars will be sold at weekend Masses, after Friday morning Mass or by calling Deborah Desrochers at (613) 584-2711.
The CWL will be holding periodic fundraising auctions. The item for auction will be displayed in the vestibule along with slips of paper for bidding. Keep an eye out for our first item hopefully beginning the weekend of Nov 7/8th. You will also be able to bid online on our Facebook page - Click the title above to re-directed to the page. For more information please call Lauralee at 613-602-6591. Please share this information with your friends and help us make these auctions successful.
We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our hour of need, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
Draft minutes of the meeting held on September 3, 2020 are now available on the parish website. They can be found under the MINISTRIES>Pastoral & Financial Councils tab. (Paper copies are available at the parish office.)
Starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th at St. Columbkille Cathedral, R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian initiation of Adults) is a journey for anyone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, and growing in the life as a Christian. It is for someone who has never been baptized, or maybe you have been baptized in another Christian denomination and wishes to know more about the Catholic faith. Maybe you have been baptized and have not received the other Sacraments for your life’s mission, or maybe, as a Catholic, you just want to grow more in your faith. If any of the above questions apply to you, please contact Deacon Adrien Chaput at 613 732-7933 ext. 206 or dcadrienchaput@pembrokediocese.com.

During this time of COVID-19 we are in need of ushers more than ever. We are in need of volunteers to be ushers at our Masses on Sunday. Their duties will be to ensure that people are seated and at a proper distance and to help with communion. A practice will be scheduled to train new ushers. Those interested may sign up by calling the parish office or visiting the MINISTRIES page on the parish website. (Click the title above to be redirected to the form.)
We need more volunteers to help sanitize the pews after the Masses. Please, if you are able, give your name to the Parish Office or fill in the form on the MINISTRIES page of the parish website so that a schedule can be developed. (Or simply click the title above to be redirected.) Thank you.
Parents are asked to please pre-register children for First Communion & Confirmation using the forms available online. This will help our parishes plan for Sacramental preparation programming. Thank you. The forms may be found under the FAITH tab > First Communion and Confirmation pages respectively.
There is a fun, free bulletin for children available each week at https://thekidsbulletin.com/ (Click the title above to link directly to the website.)
The parish office and catechists have been in communication by email. Most of the youth have now done their First Reconciliation and will each celebrate their First Communion as individuals once they are ready. Parents: A reminder to please inform Fr. Beachey BEFORE Sunday Mass should your child be celebrating First Communion. If your child has NOT yet received First Reconciliation, please call the parish office as soon as possible to arrange. Thank you. Please remember our youth in your prayers.
We need volunteers to help us with the disinfecting of pews after the Sunday Masses. If we had four people per mass, we will be able to disinfect the church before the next Mass. Please call the office is you are able to help or message me. We need ushers, extra men and women to help to seat people and keep count of the people coming into the church. Please contact the parish office or message me if you can assist in this ministry.
